The Uganda 2009 team have a lot of hard work ahead of them:
- Physically they must prepare for trekking, a school community project (which may include some building work) and the rigours of three weeks very active and living in tents. Learn how they are preparing their bodies here.
- Emotionally, three weeks is a significant time to be away from friends and families. It is also a long time to spend with a relatively small group. It is vital everyone is emotionally literate. Information on the group’s preparation for this challenge will be available here.
- Financially there is a lot to do. Raising the necessary funds and managing individual budgets to reach the target is a big part of the whole experience. The assortment of innovative fundraising efforts is searchable here.
